This is part of a series of post that documents 30 Lessons I have learnt in my 30 years on planet earth. This is Lesson 6. Read and be blessed! 😎 Drop a comment if you found it valuable. 💛
As I write this lesson, I’ve had a busy day, I’m exhausted and hungry but one thing I have learnt over the last 30 years is to ‘show up and do what I said I will do’.
We all show up for different reasons.
Sometimes it’s because you don’t want to disappoint your family, friends, fans, colleagues, superiors, etc.
What will they say? What will they think of me? How will it affect future opportunities?
There are always many external considerations.
However, one consideration that is very important is internal. Maybe the most important.
How does your habit of showing up affect your character?
Consider how showing up improves your ability to be consistent in your character.
Consider how showing up improves your skills.
Consider how showing up improves the man or woman you are becoming.
When you are able to build a consistent lifestyle of showing up irrespective of emotions and/or criticisms, then you are setting yourself up for success – The type that influences all parts of your life and flows down to the people who are watching and getting inspired by you.
Let me go and eat food. Although, I’m wishing I could miraculously appear in Warri for my mother’s special Owo soup and starch! I miss home 🥲 I miss being only a child 😂.
Love & Light,
Bestie Atti
